Set against the mountain landscape of Park City, The Lodge at Blue Sky is renowned for its elevated, luxury setting. For Alexandra and Nick, however, the heart of their wedding day wasn’t about formality or tradition — it was about creating a comfortable, unhurried experience for the people they love most.
After eloping privately, they chose to gather their closest family and friends for a relaxed celebration of their marriage. Rather than following a strict or full wedding-day timeline, Alexandra and Nick intentionally designed a day that allowed everyone to slow down, connect, and simply enjoy being together. I absolutely loved the intimate, effortless way that their day unfolded, and I greatly enjoy photographing micro-weddings such as theirs.

From the start, the day felt calm and easy. The natural beauty of the mountains provided a stunning backdrop, but the focus remained on the shared moments — laughter between family members, meaningful conversations, and quiet time together without the pressure of rushing from one event to the next.
This slower pace gave the day a deeply personal feel and allowed space for authentic, natural photographs. As a Park City wedding photographer, these are the moments I’m always watching for — the in-between interactions that tell the true story of how a wedding day felt.

What made Alexandra and Nick’s wedding especially memorable was how intentional it felt. Set within a luxury venue but experienced in a calm, approachable way, their celebration proved that beautiful locations can still host weddings that are centered on intimacy, comfort, and meaningful connection.
“We are so excited to have these photos to cherish forever. Rachel did such a beautiful job and I cannot recommend her enough.”
Documenting intimate weddings like this is always an honor. If you’re hosting a wedding at The Lodge at Blue Sky or another romantic destination, I’d love to hear from you and document your day.
